Tu Casa's annual Drumming for Peace Event uses music to celebrate non-violent ideals.

The event also kicks off October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  

The ASC Percussion Studio kicked off the event.

Mayor Kathy Rogers officially declared October National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Local Poet Lori Leach recited some of personal poems for the crowd.

The Crestone Kaminari Taiko Drummers performed, and were a big hit with the crowd.

The Semillas de la Tierra closed the event with a traditional dance performance.
