A TCI Blog:

There’s Still Time to Donate in 2025

Written by: Megan Lang, Executive Director

As the year draws to a close, many of us find ourselves reflecting—on what we’ve accomplished, what challenged us, and what left us feeling grateful. For Tu Casa, Inc., this season is also a reminder of the extraordinary generosity of our community which fuels Tu Casa, Inc.’s  mission to support healthy, violence-free lives and relationships for all children and adults in the San Luis Valley. Every service Tu Casa, Inc. is able to provide, every person we support, every life we touch—none of it happens without you.

Tu Casa, Inc. thrives because of the support of our generous community and donors and there’s still time to make one monetary donation to Tu Casa, Inc. in 2025. End-of-year donations do more than check the tax-deductible donation box—they provide the stability, momentum, and hope we carry with us into the new year.

Your donation today isn’t just about closing out 2025. It’s about opening the door to everything we can accomplish in 2026—together.

Thanks to our community, this year we were able to:

  • Provide ongoing advocacy services to 180 adult survivors and their dependents.
  • Provide family advocacy to 60 child survivors and their non-offending care providers.
  • Field 267 crisis calls on our 24-hour Hotline.
  • Provide 8 Acute SANE exams and 15 Wellness Exams.
  • Facilitate 100 Community Outreach Education/Awareness events.

Every number above represents a story—a real person whose life is different because you cared and supported Tu Casa, Inc. but there is still more work to do.

If you’ve already given this year, thank you. Truly. If you haven’t had the chance yet—or if you’re in a position to give again—your gift will have an immediate and meaningful impact for survivors throughout the San Luis Valley. Even a small donation helps us provide critical services to survivors, expand our community outreach program, and respond to urgent needs as soon as they arise.

These next couple weeks are your last opportunity to make a tax-deductible gift for 2025. More importantly, it’s a chance to make sure Tu Casa, Inc. enters the new year ready to continue the work that matters most.

Give one last gift this year—so we can give even more in the next.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing in Tu Casa, Inc.’s mission, and thank you for every moment of kindness you’ve shared this year.

Together, we can make 2026 our most impactful year yet.

The Marines Toy For Tots Foundation of the San Luis Valley has contributed a significant amount of toys throughout the years to our Gingerbread Festival - and this year was no different. They donated 350 toys to the Children's Advocacy Center of the San Luis Valley to make this annual event a success, and these toys were distributed, for free, to the children of the SLV. This event wouldn't be so beloved in our community without them, and the support of the community and our partners.

Please continue to support the Marine's Toys for Tots of the San Luis Valley. Help them by donating toys and participating in their events throughout the Valley. You can support them in their endeavor to continue giving to those who need it most - especially the children of our community.
